On April 14, 2024, Phat Son Temple in Roanoke, Virginia, held its first weekly Buddhist service for an English-speaking public, bringing an important step forward in expanding the local Buddhist community. direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known in English as Buddha Mountain Center (BMC), Ph\u1eadt S\u01a1n Temple has opened opportunities for the English-speaking Buddhist community – BMC Sangha – to participate in spiritual activities and study Buddhism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This <\/a>event far exceeded expectations with 45 people attending, double the expected number. Even though there was no prior preparation, everyone chanted sutras together, meditated and listened to Dharma talks in a gentle way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the event, feedback from the majority of attendees was that they were very grateful that the temple had organized and created place for them to study and practice the Buddha teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hopefully from this event, Ph\u1eadt S\u01a1n Temple will welcome a new community, connecting the two cultures of Vietnam and America and together spreading Buddha’s teachings to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
