The Mission of the Buddha Mountain Center is to the present the teaching of the Buddha to all people. The<\/span><\/p>\n

Buddha Mountain Center is a religious institution dedicated to serving followers in the Mahayana tradition of Zen Buddhism. We follow the dharma-teaching tradition of previous patriarchs and generations of great masters of our Buddhist sect from our homeland of Vietnam. We primarily serve the Buddhist community in the Roanoke Valley area but also serve other Buddhist followers and the public, when possible.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Buddha Mountain Center provides a range of religious activities, including religious worship, Dharma lectures, rituals, Buddhist education, meditation classes and retreats. We also provide Buddhist clergy for specific ceremonies as well as providing counsel and teaching of Buddhist moral practices for maintaining happy families and communities. We remain open to discourse with all religious traditions that strive to contribute significantly to the alleviation of suffering.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Buddha Mountain Center will be the preeminent Buddhist community in the Roanoke Valley and<\/span><\/p>\n

Southwest Virginia. The Buddha Mountain Center will have a large Vietnamese and English-speaking membership that share the Center and common practices. The Buddha Mountain Center will construct a new larger temple building which will include both a large and small Buddha Hall, teaching classrooms, kitchen, monk residence, and tent pavilion. The new temple site will include an outdoor meditation garden, with Buddhist statues, for quiet meditation and reflection.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Buddha Mountain Center will help train and dispatch teachers nationally for further Buddhist propagation and instruction. The Center will share its rich history of Vietnamese culture. Based on community and world needs, we will organize and redistribute charitable donations. We will serve and benefit all humankind without bias and without seeking profit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
